Transition Meet Your New Teacher Poster

(0)
You can use this ‘Meet the Teacher’ poster for transition with your new class! For transition we usually send out a paper bag over the summer with a meet the teacher poster in and ask the children to fill it with special things. Then we have show and tells over the first week. This usually helps when they can talk about something familiar to them or put their favourite teddy in there. I think if you ‘save as’… you can convert it back into a word document and then edit it. Really hope you find it useful!

Reading at Home Reward Bookmarks (9 designs)

These book marks have been designed to encourage children to read at home. After 10 reads at home the children will get a reward. We use one of the single hole punches from Amazon to mark off when a child reads at home. The designs include dogs, hearts, dinosaurs, rainbows and lots more. Each bookmark has a gorgeous reading quote at the bottom. At my school this is how we run it: Every 2 weeks on a Friday the children are then invited to pick a reward with an adult, these could be: An extra play outside A cookie and hot chocolate in the staffroom To play a board game An extra PE game e.g. the parachute We change the rewards to keep the children excited. Of course you can also offer rewards such as small toys, like some bubbles or a new pen. I hope you find them useful!
